Elon Musk’s SpaceX announced the acquisition of his own startup xAI, which is developing the Grok AI platform.

In a published communiqué, Musk said the merger would form an “innovation engine” that would combine AI, rockets, space internet and media under one roof.

The terms of the deal were not officially disclosed, however, according to reports published with links to close sources, xAI was valued at $125 billion, and SpaceX at $1 trillion, making it the most valuable private company in history.

According to experts, the merger of the two startups is intended to prepare for a public offering of shares on the stock market.
