Negotiations between Russia, Ukraine and the United States began in Abu Dhabi

“The negotiation process started in a trilateral format – Ukraine, the USA and Russia. Next – work in separate groups in areas, after which it is planned to re-jointly synchronize positions,” said the head of the Ukrainian delegation, Rustem Umerov.

“Russia continues a special military operation. The doors for a peaceful settlement are open, Russia maintains its openness. But until the relevant decisions are made by the Kyiv regime, the special military operation continues,” said the press secretary of the Russian president, Dmitry Peskov.

According to the Russian side, the parties proceed from the fact that Ukraine will not become a member of NATO. Previously, its President Vladimir Zelensky stated that he would be ready to do this if the country was provided with genuine security guarantees.

Ukraine refuses to comply with Russia’s demand for a complete withdrawal from the Donetsk and Lugansk regions – including the territories it controls. Despite statements by US President Donald Trump that these territories will still be lost to it, the Russian army is advancing extremely slowly and with significant losses.
