This is the last chapter of a long one company history which features the protagonist Cute Cofrescoa group that operates on the consumer market with the Cuki and Domopak brands and with products dedicated to conservation and cooking of foodboth in the sector ofhome storage and cleanliness, respectively with the brands Domopak Living e Domopak Spazzy.

History and birth of DomoLiving

But let’s take a step back. In 2008 the management of Cuki, a historic company renowned for its excellence in the sector of products for the packaging and for the food preservationin anticipation of the range extension, creates the brand Domopak Livingwhich brings together the products and projects for theorganization of domestic spaces. Ten years later Cuki’s Storage Division becomes an independent company, DomoLiving.

The Melitta era and DomoLiving numbers

In fact, in 2018 the German group Melitawhich sells coffee, filters and coffee makers, acquires 100% of Cuki. DomoLiving is the company created by Cuki and the Melitta group dedicated exclusively to the world of domestic arrangement. DomoLiving invoice over 44 million euros per year and has a factory in Nervesa (Treviso). It offers home organization solutions with two macro-lines: Soft Storage (cardboard boxes, flexible plastic cases, various organizers) e Plastic Storage (rigid containers), as well as a wide range of recycled plastic garbage bags.

The importance of recycling and distribution

With beyond 5,000 tons of garbage bags and clothing cases in post-consumer recycled plasticmarketed under the licensed brands Domopak Living, Domopak Spazzy and Misterpack, DomoLiving operates in the large Italian organized distribution (GDO), with significant presence also in the foreign market.

Strategic synergies with ReLife

The acquisition of DomoLiving by ReLife groupexplains the Genoese company in a note, “allows concrete and transversal industrial synergiesstrengthens the flexible post-consumer plastic recycling supply chainwhere the Group is present with the Plastic Packaging Division, as well as rigid plastic and paper, with the Recycling, Paper Mill and Paper Packaging Divisions, consolidating its position as ReLife come integrated player along the entire value chain, one of a kind”.

With DomoLiving, the ReLife group brings it back into Italian hands historic brands and thus adds a strategic piece to its own verticalization of the supply chainreaching up to final consumerin line with the European circularity objectives. The operation also contributes to strengthening collection and increasing recycling volumes in large-scale retail trade, encouraging the spread and growth of the use of recycled paper and cardboard packaging.
