Tomorrow, on February 5, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Sergey Lavrov will meet with the President of the National Assembly of Armenia Alen Simonyan, who will be in Moscow on an official visit. Maria Zakharova, spokeswoman of the Russian Foreign Ministry, announced this today.
According to Zakharova, bilateral cooperation and regional issues will be discussed. Special attention will be paid to the interaction between Moscow and Yerevan in the common Eurasian structures and the dialogue in that direction.
Before Simonyan’s visit, the Russian Foreign Ministry announced that the accelerated rapprochement of Armenia with the European Union will have negative consequences both on the alliance relations with Russia and on the development of integration processes in the post-Soviet area.
