Lotto player takes part in the drawing via app and becomes a millionaire

Rostock – In the far north, a lottery player really won. In the Lotto 6aus49 draw at the weekend, the lucky person won exactly 2,178,417.70 euros. The hit came via his smartphone – and the app told him straight away that he was now a millionaire!

The man took part using the Next Lotto scanner app Saturday drawing part and used it to check his ticket. The app scans the QR code from the lottery receipt – and immediately shows whether there has been a win. Players can not only check their numbers, but also type them directly. That’s exactly how it went in this case. The Rostock resident had previously bought his ticket online.

“This player selected the numbers on our app and spent 15.35 euros on the ticket,” says Philipp Loew-Albrecht (35), CEO of Next Lotto, to BILD.
