ACV poured more than 34,000 billion VND into Long Thanh airport

This data is shown by Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV) in the consolidated financial report for the last quarter of 2025 just announced on the afternoon of February 4.

Specifically, ACV’s total unfinished construction cost at the end of last year was more than 35,420 billion VND, of which the Long Thanh international airport project phase one accounted for the majority. The remaining more than 1,200 billion VND is the investment cost of many projects such as building a cargo terminal at Cat Bi airport, upgrading Ca Mau airport, equipping a technological weather radar system… The T3 passenger terminal project is no longer recorded in the capital construction cost category after its inauguration in April 2025.

Long Thanh Airport is a key national project, with an area of ​​about 5,000 hectares and a total investment of nearly 337,000 billion VND. In phase one, the project invests in two runways and a terminal with a capacity of 25 million passengers. Some items were completed at the end of last year and are expected to operate commercially from the middle of this year.

According to the investment policy, phase two includes the third runway, passenger terminal 2 with a capacity of 25 million passengers per year, and synchronous infrastructure works. ACV, an enterprise with more than 95.41% State capital, is the investor in both phases.

The latest financial report shows that ACV has charter capital of 35,838 billion VND and equity of nearly 69,930 billion VND. Total assets as of the end of last year reached 90,918 billion VND, an increase of more than 13,600 billion VND compared to the beginning of the year.

ACV recorded net revenue for the whole year of approximately VND 25,960 billion, up 15% over the same period. The main revenue source is from passenger service, take-off and landing services, ground services, passenger security assurance and space rental. The company’s pre-tax profit was more than 14,915 billion VND, an increase of 3% and a record high in its history. This result far exceeds the target of VND 22,239 billion in revenue and VND 10,531 billion in pre-tax profit approved at last year’s annual meeting.

The new ACV has a change in senior personnel. The company appointed Mr. Nguyen Duc Hung – Deputy General Director – to be in charge of the executive board from February 2. For nearly 1.5 years, the person in charge of the executive board while waiting to complete the general director position has been Deputy General Director Nguyen Tien Viet (born in 1972). Mr. Viet is also Director of the Long Thanh International Airport Project Management Board and was just elected to the ACV Board of Directors at the end of last month.

On the same day, February 2, ACV appointed Ms. Pham Thi Phuong – Head of Accounting Department (Finance – Accounting Department) in charge of accounting. Normally, the person responsible for the accounting activities of a business is the chief accountant.

On the stock exchange, ACV shares closed the session on February 4 with a slight decrease, down to 55,700 VND. The company’s market capitalization is approximately VND 200,000 billion.
