Alma Media beat last year – dividend exceeding forecasts

Media company Alma Median turnover in October–December was 84.9 million euros and adjusted operating profit was 21.1 million euros. Earnings per share were 0.15 euros and the adjusted operating profit percentage was 24.8.

In the same period a year ago, turnover was 81.2 million euros and adjusted operating profit was 19.5 million euros. Earnings per share were 0.15 euros and the adjusted operating profit percentage was 24.6.

Modular Finance the consensus forecast collected by five analysts was EUR 85.4 million for turnover and EUR 21.0 million for adjusted operating profit. Analysts expect earnings per share to be 0.18 in the fourth quarter of the year and an adjusted operating profit percentage of 24.0.

The company proposes to pay a dividend of EUR 0.48 per share. Last year, the dividend was EUR 0.46 per share. The analysts’ forecast for the dividend was 0.47 euros.

Investments in digital

Alma Media’s turnover for the whole year was 327.1 million euros and the adjusted operating profit was 82.1 million euros. The adjusted operating profit percentage was 25.1.

Earnings per share rose to 0.67 euros from 0.64 euros.

For the whole year, analysts expect turnover to rise to 328 million euros from 312.7 million euros. The analysts estimated the adjusted operating profit at 82 million euros, while a year earlier the profit was 76.9 million euros. Analysts estimate that the adjusted operating profit margin rose to 25 percent from last year’s 24.6 percent.

Analysts estimate the earnings per share to be EUR 0.70. A year earlier it was 0.64 euros.

In the financial statement release, Alma Media’s CEO Kai Telanne says that the company’s investments in digitization accelerated good development. He said that Alma has moved from experiments towards the permanent and systematic utilization of artificial intelligence in all areas of business.

Alma Media estimates that the turnover in 2026 will be at the level of 2025 and that the adjusted operating profit will increase.
