He estimates that since 2024, Russia has lost 1.2 million people killed, wounded or missing, 325,000 of them dead. These are the largest casualties in the conflict since World War II. Ukrainian losses are 500,000-600,000 people, of which 140,000 were killed. At the same time, the pace of the Russian offensive is only 15-70 meters per day.

Russian President Vladimir Putin last spoke with an assessment of losses in Ukraine in June 2024. According to him, Russian losses are five times less than Ukrainian ones, and the Ukrainian army loses about 50,000 soldiers per month, and half of these losses are irrevocable.
