Arrest in North Rhine-Westphalia: Yosef (14) murder case! Police arrest child (12)

Dormagen – Police have arrested a child as a suspect in the murder of 14-year-old Yosef from Dormagen (North Rhine-Westphalia).

According to BILD information, it is a 12-year-old German. As BILD learned, the investigators assume that the crime was planned. According to initial findings, the suspect is said to have acted alone. The investigators apparently tracked him down by analyzing Yosef’s cell phone data.

Yosef was stabbed

Since the suspect is a child and “for reasons of personality and youth protection, the public prosecutor’s office and the police are not providing any further information about the person or the specific circumstances of the crime,” it said on Friday morning.

Walkers found Yosef’s body on January 28th at the Waldsee near Dormagen (NRW) found. An autopsy revealed that he was stabbed. The investigators had no leads on a suspect for a long time, and the police and the city of Dormagen offered a reward of 10,000 euros for information about Yosef’s murderer. Now he may have been caught.

A funeral service for the young Eritrean is scheduled to take place on Friday afternoon on the artificial turf pitch in Dormagen; around 3,000 guests are expected. The funeral will then take place in a small circle.
