A grenade was thrown at a beauty salon in France, five were slightly injured

A grenade was thrown at a beauty salon in the center of the city of Grenoble in France, it was reported today (Friday) by the AFP news agency from a police source. It was also noted in Le Dauphiné Libéré that six people were slightly injured, including a 5-year-old boy. The suspects, whose motives are unknown at this point, are fleeing, a police source said.

The six injured received medical treatment but were not taken to the hospital. The Izer district confirmed the number of the six injured who were said to be “in a relatively minor emergency due to the explosion”, adding that “they were treated on the spot by the emergency services and were not taken to the hospital”.

The beauty parlor is located, among other shops, on the ground floor of a high-rise residential building, and its storefront was blown off in the blast, according to an AFP journalist who was on the scene.

In February 2025, a grenade attack in a community bar in a drug-trafficking neighborhood in southern Grenoble left fifteen people injured, six of them seriously.
