Marildo Campos is dismissed and is no longer Athletico’s youth coordinator

Athletico no longer counts on Marildo Campos as coordinator of the youth categories. The professional was dismissed from the club last Friday night (6). The information was initially released by the reporter Monique Vilelayes TMC Radio.

Marildo had been hired by Furacão in February last year to take on the role of director of the youth teams, with the mission of further enhancing the training of young talents at CT do Caju. He stayed in the role for about a year.

The manager’s name gained strength in the market after the work carried out at Novorizontino. Since the founding of the São Paulo club, in 2010, Marildo has been involved in the structuring and development of the lower categories. The peak of the work occurred in 2024, when Novorizontino won the Campeonato Paulista U20 title, beating traditional teams from the state, which caught the attention of Athletico.

His arrival at the club was seen internally as a strategic move to keep Furacão among the country’s main references in revealing athletes.
