Ceylin del Carmen Alvarado delivers a nice solo victory in Lille, not a first victory for Lucinda Brand as world champion

Amandine Fouquenet was the first to dive into the forest, with Lucinda Brand and Ceylin Alvarado in her wake. The Dutch champion quickly pulled away from Brand by about five seconds, while the brand new world champion had to let her compatriot drive. Only Leonie Bentveld and Inge van der Heijden stayed near Brand.

Just not for Brand

Ceylin Alvarado clearly showed herself to be the strongest in the sand. Brand remained stuck for a while and saw Bentveld come over her for a moment. She then led the chase for Alvarado, although Van der Heijden continued to persist. Bentveld had to give up a few meters in the meantime.

At the front, Alvarado gradually increased her lead to twelve seconds. In the background it was Marie Scheiber who rode to fifth place.

Alvarado can cheer again

After four second places in the past races, the victory will undoubtedly please Alvarado. She could no longer be overtaken at the front, while Lucinda Brand also seemed to finally shake off Inge van der Heijden.
