Virginie has no apprehension about pushing open the door of the “CV booth” developed by the Nantes start-up Ciblijob. Like a photo booth, it proudly sits at the checkout counters of the large Cormontreuil shopping center, in the conurbation of Reims (Marne).

“Your future begins here” appears on the screen and the voice agent’s voice resonates in the booth, inviting the candidate to recount her previous experiences. At 54, Virginie is looking for a position in sales and plans to position herself in National Education as AESH. Fifteen minutes later, she comes out with a printed CV in hand, all thanks to artificial intelligence.

The candidate leaves rather amazed by the content and slips the precious writing into her bag. “There is a mistake in the spelling of the name of one of my employers. But otherwise the result is very consistent. I just finished training to boost my image and I wanted to discover this CV booth. It’s useful when you’re not comfortable with the layout,” she confides.

“Writing a CV can be a hindrance”

Samia Gentil, the founder of the Ciblijob concept, notes that there is no typical profile among the candidates who passed through her office. Seniors, executives, young people or even students enter there. So much so that among the eleven installed, mainly in the West, one of them was installed on a campus at the request of a business school in Nantes (Loire-Atlantique).

“We have the technology and we want to meet candidates, whether in shopping centers, campuses or post offices. I have been supporting companies with their recruitment issues for 15 years; 500,000 offers are not filled each year. In operational professions, they encounter a lot of difficulty recruiting. However, candidates with skills exist, but writing a CV and using a computer are sometimes a hindrance,” underlines Samia Gentil.

In the shopping mall in the Reims region, the cabin will remain in place for two years. For the moment, the concept is free but within a month, you will have to pay 2 euros to use the machine. In the coming months, Ciblijob will arrive in Paris, in a post office and a shopping center. Its objective for 2026: to set up 200 cabins in France in partnership, in particular, with France Travail.
