Prices for travel on the express lanes of the Coastal Highway and Ayalon Highway have been approved

The express lanes will operate on an 18-kilometer section between the Shfayim interchange and Hashalom interchange. Travel for buses and vehicles with more than three passengers will be free.

For passenger cars with less than three passengers, depending on the traffic congestion, the price will range from 6.99 to 104.91 shekels. The fee will apply starting in July 2026.

If the average speed on the express lane falls below 70 km/h, access to the express lane may be temporarily closed to vehicles with insufficient passengers.

Starting March 1, intercepting parking lots will begin operating in Shfayim (for 6,800 parking spaces) and Mevo-Ayalon (for 3,800 parking spaces), from where shuttles will run to Gush Dan.
