“The president will make the final decision on the red line of negotiations,” US Vice President JD Vance said at a joint press conference with Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, responding to an American journalist’s question whether the US would allow low uranium enrichment or whether any level of enrichment is a red line for Washington.
“It is up to the president to decide where he intends to draw the line in the negotiations. “He does not announce in advance what he will do in the negotiations, because he believes that this may limit his freedom of action,” the US vice president stated.
Iran announced today that it is ready to dilute its highly enriched uranium if the United States lifts all sanctions against Tehran.
U.S. and Iranian diplomats resumed indirect talks last Friday amid a U.S. naval buildup in the region and mutual threats. The date and location of the next round of negotiations have not yet been announced.
It is known that, in addition to Iran’s nuclear program, the United States wants to include in the negotiations the issue of limiting Tehran’s ballistic missile arsenal, but Tehran excludes discussions on this issue.
