Santanchè under investigation in Milan for another hypothesis of bankruptcy

The Minister of Tourism Daniela Santanchè is under investigation for bankruptcy by the Milan Public Prosecutor’s Office in relation to Bioera bankruptcy, the company of which she was president until 2021.

The bankruptcy court of Milan had ordered in December 2024 the judicial liquidation for Bioerathe biofood spa which also had the senator’s ex-boyfriend among its directors, Canio Giovanni Mazzaro. The investigation is conducted by prosecutors Maria Gravina, Luigi Luzi and Guido Schininnà and the registration in the register of suspects dates back to a couple of months ago.

The bankruptcy court had identified “a series of multiple critical issues linked to the unavailability of resources useful for paying creditors not adhering to the debt restructuring agreement proposed by the company, the failure to execute a proposed capital increase, and the concrete impossibility of personally enforcing a formally existing guarantee”. In addition to Santanché, some former administrators are also under investigation. The Minister of Tourism it was already under investigation for bankruptcy also due to the collapse of Ki Group, another company in the group.
