Former Hertha manager Preetz suffered several broken ribs

“The slope was very icy at one point and I fell violently, even though I’m actually a more than acceptable skier. I hit my ribs completely,” said the managing director of the third division soccer team MSV Duisburg to “Bild”. “It’s very painful, especially when coughing and laughing. I now have to do breathing exercises and am banned from sports for eight weeks.”

According to the report, the former Hertha manager broke several ribs and suffered a collapsed lung. The 58-year-old was taken to a clinic.

“The most important thing is that my lungs develop fully again, that I will soon get rid of the tube and be able to get out of the hospital,” said the Bundesliga top scorer in 1999.

Preetz has been working in Duisburg since January 2024. The newcomer is currently in second place in the 3rd league.
