Crans-Montana fire tragedy: survivor Roze remembers the victims

Crans-Montana (Switzerland) – With an armful of white roses, Roze (18) stands at the site where 41 people burned to death. And the life she had. The burns on her face are still clearly visible, even though they appear to be slowly healing. Internally, the relatives and survivors will suffer from the wounds for a long time.

On Saturday, dozens of people gathered in front of the “Le Constellation” bar in Crans-Montana. On New Year’s Eve Sparklers ignited the bar’s foam ceiling41 people, mostly teenagers, died in the flames, 115 were injured, many of them seriously. The relatives called for prayers on social media. After all the loud words of the last few days, it was a quiet meeting. At 10 a.m. people laid flowers at the scene of the accident to commemorate the innocent victims of the fire disaster.

Relatives attacked bar owners

Gulcin Kaya also laid red roses in memory of her son Taylan (18), who died in the terrible incident Brand died. On Thursday she was with the bar owner Jacques and Jessica Moretti faced offwhen they arrived at the public prosecutor’s office for questioning. “You killed our children,” she shouted at the couple. She told the newspaper “Corriere della Sera” that she only felt anger. Jessica Moretti apologized, but, says Gulcin Kaya: “Can you do that with 41 victims?”

Also Roze, that one 18 days in a coma lay, leaves her flowers in the place of horror. She didn’t celebrate on the night of the accident; the party was supposed to be filmed. She handed her camera over to the police for investigation. She has begun to fight her way back into a life that will never be the same again.
