CIM workers went on strike

Workers were outraged when they learned about the sale of CIM to the German shipping company Hapag-Lloyd and the investment fund PIMI from the press. The workers’ committee is demanding a “safety net” for workers, continuation of collective bargaining agreements, disclosure of plans for the company’s future and a sales bonus.

The General Federation of Trade Unions (Histadrut) said it fully supported the strike and that it would “use all available tools to protect workers and the public interest.”
