Ukraine decree, the Chamber approves the confidence. Even the ‘Vannaccians’ give the green light

Green light from the Chamber to the question of confidence posed by the government on the Ukraine decree with 207 votes in favour, 119 opposite e 4 abstentions.

The examination of the measure will resume in the afternoon with the discussion on the 19 agendas presented by the groups. The final explanations of vote and the final vote will follow. The text, which must be converted into law by March 1st, extends the authorization to transfer of vehicles, materials and equipment to the government authorities of Ukraine, for the renewal of residence permits held by Ukrainian citizens, as well as for the safety of freelance journalists, will then be sent to the Senate for the second parliamentary reading. The current president Ronzulli informs that Palazzo Madama will arrive from 24 to 26 February.

Vannacci, yes to confidence to place ourselves on the right

“Fn votes in favor of confidence because this vote is not on the merits of measure which we remain againstbut it serves to delimit a functional political perimeter to allow parties to choose where to place themselves and a right-wing party like Futuro Nazionale knows well where to stand”. So Roberto Vannacci explains the vote on the Ukraine decree. “In fact, I have always said that we are not an instrument of the left that wants to destabilize the nation, unlike what is claimed by some and we demonstrate it in facts”, he adds. “We will maintain our agendas which contain the commitment to interrupt arms supplies in favor of Zelensky’s army and we will also vote against in the final vote – he underlines -. We don’t play games of those who would like to give us the label of being together with the Bonelli, Fratoianni, Renzi, Conte and Schlein of the moment, but, at the same time, we do not give up our identity”.

The League’s response

“We learn that it is intended to found a party against the centre-right government because it is accused of supporting Ukraine, except, at the first parliamentary test, to vote of confidence in the same government for which it was said a new party was needed, precisely on the sending of aid to Ukraine – he said, interviewed by Agi, the group leader in the Chamber Riccardo Molinari commenting on the moves of the ‘Vannacciani’ -. Rather than the announced Marinettian futurism, we are faced with the certified Giolittian transformism. It’s clear that it’s a funny attempt to save image and face compared to the things told in the last days that are not on earth.”
