The police arrived on the scene and were able to arrest the suspect. The man was released under conditions after his interrogation, but has already been brought before the investigating judge. Presumably a lot of alcohol was involved, but it is currently unclear why it escalated.

It is the second stabbing incident in two days in Dendermonde. Although the two things have nothing to do with each other.
