Everyone takes pictures of Love Park: Young people from Virovitica helped decorate the city park for Valentine’s Day

“Hearts put a smile on everyone’s face”

They are behind everything The creative association Unikat, the city company Flora VTC, and the students of the Technical High School, as well as the students of the Industrial-Crafts School, who made most of the decorations.

– Our association moreć has been decorating the city for years on the occasion of Valentine’s Day, as well as other holidays and events. We cooperate with the city, schools and companies from which we receive support and help. We do everything on a voluntary basis because we like that Virovitica is always beautifully decorated for us. We are especially creative for Valentine’s Day because red hearts put a smile on everyone’s face. We design everything carefully because we want it to be a pleasant and unobtrusive space that fits well into the landscape, but at the same time promotes our city – says Jasna Baranjec Keserica, president of the Unikat Creative Association.

Employees of Flora VTC I will help them in setting up and transporting all those decorations. Great help in making wood decorations. they have students from two secondary schools.

– Every year, our school participates in the production of wooden parts that are needed for various events in the city. Carpentry students carved hearts out of plywood and stands. They did it for ten days. By the way, we only have 14 carpenters in the first class, but it is interesting that there are two girls among them, who are actually the main ones in the workshop when it comes to making such decorations. The boys do as they say – says Goran Horvat, director of Virovitica Industrial and Vocational High School.

The main young carpenters in the class are Lana Lukačević and Leonarda Beniš, 15-year-old girls who decided to study as a carpenter regardless of the prejudices about “male profession”. Both said that they chose this profession because more they have previous experience with woodworking, and they believe that the wordč about extremely creative and interesting work.
