The child was on his way to school on Tuesday morning. The child was hit by a car that had previously run a red light and was traveling at high speed. The driver overtook another vehicle, which was stopped at the zebra crossing, along the left side. The car collided with the child at high speed.
The victim was quickly taken to hospital but died from his injuries.

The occupants committed a hit-and-run accident, but the police later arrested them. According to certain police sources, the driver is seventeen years old and does not have a driver’s license. He is no stranger to the law and has previously been convicted for drug crimes.
Police also arrested four other suspects, possibly the other occupants of the vehicle. All suspects tested negative on alcohol and drug tests.
All suspects have been locked up. The investigation is still ongoing.
