Countdown at the Verona Arena for the closing ceremony of the Games

If the Opening Ceremony of Milan Cortina Winter Olympic Games it was a tribute toItalianness from every point of view, the closing one will be dedicated to the moment of bodies and to beauty of the gesture (athletic, but not only). “Beauty in action”, this is the concept created by Fimmaster which interprets beauty as concrete energy, capable of leaving its mark.

A fusion of opera, music, dance, cinema, design and technology which will be inspired by the cultural and artistic richness of Italy, an expression of its balance between classicism and contemporaneity, and by the creative ability of Italians to transform aesthetics into emotion. All at theArena in Veronathe oldest Roman arena still in operation today (venue, next March 6, also for the Opening ceremony of the Paralympic Gamesfor the first time in history on one site Unesco).

The scenography will be inspired bywatersymbol of the link between the different territories crossed by the Games, from the Alpine peaks to the sea. Among the (few) previews released to date is that of a show that cancels the clear division between stage and audience and that transforms theArena in Verona in a large Italian square with bright surfaces, mobile elements and widespread choreography. The Italian flag bearers will be Davide Ghiotto (speed skating) e Lisa Vittozzi (biathlon).

In the audience Meloni and (maybe) Trump

It is impossible to list the VIP guests who will follow her live. The Prime Minister certainly confirmed her presence Giorgia Meloni and there is great anticipation for the probable presence of the president of the United States of America Donald Trump. However, the absence of the French president seems almost certain Emmanuel Macron (who had missed the opening ceremony at the stadium San Siro). In his place, the prime minister will receive the handover towards the 2030 Olympics, Sébastien Lecornu.

When and where to see it

The ceremony will begin at 8pm on Sunday and will be visible on the platforms that have hosted the Games competitions so far, such as Rai ed Eurosport.
