Shock in the ice channel: Austrian bobsleigh pilot unconscious after fall

While his three teammates Daiyehan Nichols-Bardi, Sebastian Mitterer and Daniel Bertschler were able to free themselves from the sled after the fall, pilot Jakob Mandlbauer remained lying down.

The Austrian apparently lost consciousness and had to receive long medical treatment. There is now a slight all-clear: Mandlbauer is conscious again, but is being examined in the hospital.
