The star’s daughter is shocked by the upheaval: “She cried”

Last month, Maluma presented a dramatic transformation, when a documentary of him without the beard that he is associated with was published on the networks, after undergoing a refreshing facial treatment by his dermatologist – and fans reacted accordingly. But last weekend, at the prestigious Latin music awards ceremony Premio Lo Nuestro, which took place this year in Miami, he shared with the media, who were interested in the change, that it was his daughter’s reaction that particularly surprised him.

Before picking up three awards at the prestigious ceremony, the Colombian star said that his daughter, Paris Londonio, who will celebrate two years next month, did not recognize him when she first saw him without the beard. “She started crying,” Maluma told reporters.

“Even though I told her to accompany me while they did the whole process, she still wasn’t used to it,” added the star, who also shared footage on his Instagram account from the glittering evening, in which he also appeared.

The external change provoked immediate reactions not only on the networks, where Maluma’s look also quickly became a trend, but also at the gala of the ceremony itself as mentioned. In a conversation with the media at the event, the star explained about the change: “People think that I get a haircut, grow a beard or change my hairstyle depending on my career, but more than they are related to my career, they are related to my personal life.”

Maluma became a father in March 2024, after his partner in recent years, the interior and jewelry designer Susana Gomez, gave birth to their daughter. “Suzanna, my love. Thank you for making my biggest dream come true to be a father, I will never forget this moment,” he thanked her then. Shortly after giving birth, the Latin singer provided footage of himself shirtless, clutching a pair of bangs – and looking happy, which is what really matters, with or without a beard.
