The police arrested an 80-year-old man from Dalmatia on suspicion of sexually abusing an underage granddaughter for a number of years. The injured party is now of legal age, and she reported the case recently after she left the joint household, writes the Dalmatian portal.
The arrested 80-year-old man was illegally sentenced to four and a half years in prison last September for sexually abusing another minor granddaughter. Now her sister is accusing him of the same things.
Both the State Attorney’s Office and the defense appealed against the invalid verdict.
As Dalmatian Portal accidentally found out, the defendant admitted to the charges at the trial, but in this new case he claims that he is not guilty.
The state attorney’s office demanded the imposition of pre-trial detention due to the danger of influencing witnesses and repeating the crime, but the investigating judge released the suspect with the precaution of not disturbing the victim.
