At least 14 people have been killed in clashes in Mexico

The situation in the country escalated after the police operation against “El Mencho” and the death of Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, the leader of the “New Generation of Jalisco” drug cartel. The fiercest clashes were recorded in Guadalajara, Mexico’s second largest city, where most of the roads were blocked by burning cars for several hours, and the city’s international airport was also attacked.

The “New Generation of Jalisco” was created in 2009, it is considered one of the largest criminal gangs in Mexico. According to American sources, the cartel is engaged in smuggling large quantities of heroin, cocaine, fentanyl and methamphetamine into the United States.
