Panasonic partners with Skyworth to expand its high-end televisions in Europe

Panasonic has announced a partnership with the Chinese company Shenzhen Skyworth to expand the sale of its high-end televisions in the European market.

Skyworth will lead sales, marketing and logistics in Europe while Panasonic to focus on product development, quality control and maintenance of your brand standards. In addition, both companies will jointly develop the high-end OLED TVs from Panasonic as they have advanced in a statement.

The new business model will leverage Panasonic’s strengths in audiovisual processing, quality and service standards, along with Skyworth’s global manufacturing scale and speed.

The CEO of Panasonic Entertainment & Communication, Akira Toyoshima, has described as “crucial” the role that Europe will play for the brand in the long term. “Consumers continually recognize the exceptional quality and value of our products,” he added.

Along these lines, the CEO of the parent company Shenzhen Chuangwei-RGB Electronics, Peter Zhang, has indicated that they expect Panasonic’s growth in Europe to increase thanks to the agreement. “We will contribute with world-class product innovation, backed by solid investment in R&D, a growing international presence and a consolidated distribution network,” he said.

Regarding the customer servicePanasonic has indicated that it will continue to offer European after-sales support for its Panasonic televisions sold until March 2026, as well as new models manufactured together with Skyworth from April.

On the other hand, Panasonic has announced in the statement that as of April 1 its entertainment division will be reintegrated into Panasonic Corporations to strengthen your business model.

The alliance comes weeks after agreement between TCL and Sonyin which the Chinese company will take over Sony’s home entertainment business, with a joint venture that will include the Sony BRAVIA television brand.
