After scandals and sensational theft, the director of the Louvre resigns

Yes it is the director of the Louvre, Laurence des Cars, resignsafter the scandals – including the sensational theft last October – which engulfed the famous Parisian museum. The Elysée announced this, specifying that the president, Emmanuel Macron, has accepted the resignation.

The French presidency in a note expressed appreciation for “the act of responsibility” by des Cars “at a time when the largest museum in the world needs to be pacified and a new strong impetus to carry out important security projects”.
