‘Palazzo Dialogante’ is born in Brera, Italy and extended reality ‘speak’ with heritage

The system introduces a new narrative paradigm: the conversation with artificial intelligence coincides with the three-dimensional navigation of space. The answers activate direct links to statues and interactive points, guiding immersive exploration through 360° shots that allow a “face-to-face” dialogue with historical figures. The platform, called Extended Intelligence Lab, is covered by an Italian patent (Carraro LAB N. 102023000022941, registered in January 2026 at the Ministry of Business and Made in Italy) and integrates extended reality and AI in a WebXR environment accessible from VR/AR viewers, smartphones and PCs. Hosted on Italian servers and based on open source solutions, it guarantees independence from large non-European LLMs thanks to a proprietary language model selection system.

Inspired by the art of classical memory and the technique of loci et imagines, the dialogue palace transforms seventeenth-century architecture and nineteenth-century sculptures into nodes of a conversational network animated by AI. The building thus takes on a collective and interactive identity, inviting the public to participate in a dynamic cultural experience. The project is also an educational laboratory for teachers and students of the Academy, engaged in the design of Palazzo Dialogante thus proposes a new model for enhancing heritage enhanced by artificial intelligence.
