Papoyan: Georgia saw “some risks” and banned dozens of Armenian trucks from continuing their journey to Armenia

“It’s not clear to us either… However, I have asked to clarify what kind of risks we are talking about, so that if there really is such a thing, we will also respond, and our businessmen will know what is allowed and what is not,” Papoyan said, adding that they have not yet received an answer from the Georgian side.

For more than two weeks, dozens of truck drivers who crossed from Russia to Georgia have not been allowed to go to Armenia. Crossing the Russian-Georgian border through the Lars checkpoint on February 12, the drivers bringing construction materials encountered the ban of the Georgian authorities. They say that they did not receive an explanation, only an instruction to wait.
