“Leave immediately”: a series of countries in a message to their citizens in the Middle East

“Please leave Iran immediately and under no circumstances travel to this country,” urged Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk. “I don’t want to alarm anyone, but we all know what is meant.”

Germany also issued a statement stating that “the security situation in Iran and the entire region is extremely volatile and tense. Further escalation and military confrontations cannot be ruled out.”

War or agreement? The fateful talks have begun

Meanwhile, in Geneva this morning (Thursday) the third round of talks began in the negotiations between the US and Iran, which is seen as critical in efforts to reach a diplomatic solution. On the agenda: the Iranian nuclear program, which according to President Donald Trump was damaged by American attacks in 2025 – but is gradually recovering.

Tehran, for its part, refuses to give up uranium enrichment and considers its missile program a non-negotiable “red line”.

“The third round of indirect negotiations between Iran and the US began with the meeting held between our foreign minister and his Omani counterpart,” said the Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman at the beginning of the third round of talks. “Our country’s positions and considerations were presented in detail to the Omani side. From the information we have had since this morning, apparently the head of the IAEA will also join these talks, similar to the previous round.”

Meanwhile, two aircraft carriers, Abraham Lincoln and Gerald Ford, are already in the area, and the US military has significantly increased its presence in the Middle East.

Trump: “prefers to reach a diplomatic solution”

In his “State of the Nation” speech held this week, Trump repeated his words that he prefers to reach a diplomatic solution between the parties. In the same breath, he claimed that Iran has missiles capable of reaching the US.

“Iran wants to make a deal more than I do, but they just don’t say: ‘We will not build nuclear weapons,'” Trump said, clarifying that this is a key condition in talks with Iran.
