The president of the Davos Forum has resigned amid the Epstein investigation

The president of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Borge Brande, has resigned, weeks after an independent investigation into his ties to sex offender Jeffrey Epstein began.

Earlier, the US Department of Justice disclosed that since 2017, the Norwegian official who has been presiding over the conference for almost 10 years, has communicated face-to-face at least three times, as well as been in contact via e-mail and SMS.

In 2008, Epstein was convicted of involving minors in prostitution, and in 2019, he committed suicide in prison while awaiting trial on trafficking charges. The revelations in her case have caused serious upheaval among the business and political elites, leading to criminal cases, including those against the former Prince of Wales, Andrew Mountbatten of Windsor.
