Apple opens a week of launches – and these are the expected new products

The launch week of the bite apple is underway: after days of assessments and reports in the American media, an official message from Cook on social networks sealed the speculation. “A big week ahead,” he wrote, and confirmed that new products will be unveiled on Monday morning. On Wednesday, Apple will host members of the media in several centers around the world, but unlike the familiar September events, not one celebratory key note is expected, but a gradual sequence of announcements.

The teaser video released by the company shows hands shaping an incomplete Apple logo by clicking and moving quickly. The gray color scheme is reminiscent of silver aluminum, which may hint at new computers or tablets. Commentators in the industry had previously estimated that this was a multi-day announcement week, and now the estimate is being officially confirmed.

According to reports, one of the main products is expected to be the iPhone 17e, the successor to the iPhone 16e that replaced the old SE series last year. In recent years, Apple has signaled a desire to produce an annual update rate for its entry-level model as well, and not to wait several years between versions as was the case in the past.

The new model is expected to maintain a more modern design than its cheaper predecessors, possibly with a full screen without a home button, and an up-to-date processor that will support the company’s artificial intelligence capabilities under the Apple Intelligence brand.

The tablet market is also expected to receive a refresh. The base model iPad 11th generation, launched a year ago, may now benefit from a processor upgrade and support for more advanced artificial intelligence capabilities. The rate of updates in the base models of the iPad has not been constant in recent years, so it is difficult to accurately predict the depth of the upgrade.

iPad Air, on the other hand, is updated more frequently with M-series chips. After switching to M3 in the current generation, the next model is expected to get the newer M4 chip. Apple has already integrated the M4 into the iPad Pro and certain MacBook Pro models, which reinforces the assumption that the Air will receive a similar performance jump.

In the personal computer sector, one of the interesting hypotheses is the appearance of an A-series chip, usually associated with an iPhone, inside a Mac computer. If such a move materializes, it may allow Apple to offer a Macbook at a lower price, with performance that is sufficient for daily use but does not directly compete with the Pro models.

At the same time, MacBook Air models with M4 and MacBook Pro with Pro and Max versions of the same chip are expected to continue to be updated. The M5 chip has already appeared in some products, but not in the entire Mac line, so this week may also be used to expand its implementation. In the meantime, the market reports that Apple plans to launch new desktop screens this year as well, a move that may be of interest to professional work audiences and content creators.
