France, Germany and the United Kingdom threaten to attack Iran’s missile launchers and drones

The governments of France, Germany and the United Kingdom published a joint statement this Sunday warning that they are studying the possibility of attacking Iran’s missile launchers and drones “at source” to defend their interests and those of their allies in the Middle East.

“We will adopt measures to defend our interests and those of our allies in the region, potentially activating the necessary and proportionate defensive actions to destroy at source Iran’s ability to fire missiles and drones,” the three European countries said in a statement.

“We have agreed to work together and with the United States and allies in the region to address this issue,” they added in a text in which they criticize the “indiscriminate Iranian attacks” against countries in the area, attacked by Iran for hosting US military bases.

Thus, they have expressed their “dismay” at the “disproportionate” missile attacks against countries in the region, “including some that are not involved in the initial US and Israeli operations.”

“Iran’s senseless attacks have targeted our close allies and threaten our personnel and civilians throughout the region,” they denounced, which is why they call on Iran to “stop these attacks immediately.”
