The US president has justified the joint US-Israeli strikes on Iran, saying that the country’s nuclear program is a growing threat to the United States. Donald Trump also noted that they have already destroyed 10 Iranian ships.
“This was our last best chance to strike and eliminate the intolerable threats posed by this sick and evil regime,” he told reporters at the White House.
Trump noted that the operation’s “goals are clear”, the first of which is the destruction of Iran’s missile capabilities.
“Secondly, we destroy their fleet. we have already destroyed 10 ships, they are at the bottom of the sea. Third, we ensure that the world’s number one sponsor of terrorism will never be able to obtain a nuclear weapon,” said the head of the White House.
