The US does not rule out the possibility of sending ground troops to Iran

“This is our last best opportunity to eliminate the unacceptable threat posed by this regime,” President Donald Trump told reporters at the White House today.

He said that after the Night Hammer operation in June 2025, the US warned Iran not to rebuild its nuclear program in another location. “But they ignored that warning and did not give up pursuing nuclear weapons,” President Trump said.

He emphasized that Iran’s possession of nuclear weapons is “unacceptable” to the United States, so he ordered the military to attack to stop Tehran’s nuclear and missile programs.

This is the first time President Trump spoke directly to reporters about the attack campaign on Iran, since the US and Israel conducted a large-scale raid on February 28.
