Historical gold: ÖSV star Embacher jumps into the history books

Stephan Embacher is currently on cloud nine and is achieving one success after another. Both Olympic Games In Predazzo, the 20-year-old debutant won sensationally together with Jan Hörl Gold in the super team competition.

Now the exceptional jumper from Brixental beat the Junior World Championships in Lillehammer to.

Stephan Embacher won the competition on the normal hill on Thursday and got his third individual gold medal as a junior.

The 20-year-old Tyrolean had already secured the Junior World Championship title in Planica in 2024 and in Lake Placid in 2025.

With the third stroke Embacher made his way into the history books: he is the first diver to win three individual gold medals at a Junior World Championships.

The Tyrolean won with jumps of 98 and 98.5 meters ahead of the Pole Kacper Tomasiak, who won three medals at the Olympics, and the American Jason Colby.

Additional starting place

The success of the young star from Hopfgarten has another one positive side effect: Because this gives the ÖSV men’s team an additional starting place in the World Cup for the coming winter.

For Stephan Embacher, things are moving on straight after his triumph at the Junior World Championships. The Tyrolean left Lillehammer on Thursday and will be hunting for distances at the World Cup in Lahti (Finland) on Friday.
