Reuters: Hezbollah has spent months replenishing its arsenal of missiles and drones

Following the 2024 conflict with Israel, Hezbollah concluded that a new round of fighting was inevitable and this time could pose an “existential threat,” the sources said. The information was confirmed by three Lebanese sources with knowledge of Hezbollah’s activities, two foreign officials in Lebanon and one Israeli military official – all of whom spoke on condition of anonymity.

The head of Hezbollah’s press office, Yousef al-Zein, told Reuters that the organization does not comment on its military operations, but noted that the group had decided to “fight until its last breath.”

Hezbollah’s decision to attack Israel, “to avenge Khamenei’s death,” came as a surprise even to some members of the organization itself. In order to prepare for the “revenge,” the organization needed a monthly budget of $50 million, most of which came from Iran and was intended to pay salaries to militants.
