Tyrolean supermarket chain MPreis is looking for investors

Therefore, cooperation would be examined and “constructive discussions” were held at the meeting. According to “Lebensmittelzeitung”, the consulting firm PwC will provide support in this regard.

The “top dog” in the Tyrolean food trade had struggled with financial difficulties in recent years – resulting in changes in management. For example, the German restructuring expert Stefan Gros was on board for some time.

In the summer of the previous year, in addition to David Mölk and Ingo Panknin, Jakob and Mathias Mölk and Gerhard Gocek joined the management of the family business. In 2024 the numbers improved again. While a loss of around 17 million euros was stated in the 2023 annual financial statements, this fell significantly to 7.3 million euros in 2024.
