Young composers and singers have denounced machismo, trauma, inferiority complex, sexualization and contempt in the music industry because they are women, and they have opted for “break molds“and for there to be more women in positions of power in the industry.

This was revealed this Friday at the meeting ‘Breaking the Noise’ an event organized by JovenIn Music on the occasion of Women’s Day, which is celebrated this March 8, and held at the headquarters of Sony Music Spain, to give visibility and value the role of women in the music industry.

In the session moderated by Leire Martínezhave participated Zahara, Vicco, Alice Wonder, Ainhoa ​​Buitrago and Aldharawho have shared their experiences and reflections on the sector.

“We have to know a lot and show that we have a criterion, a career and an experience and there are kids who don’t even have the experience of those of us here, and who have impostor syndrome but in reverse,” he explained. Ainhoa ​​Buitrago.

Vicco has also said that she got her start in music from the Beatles, because her father transmitted to her his fascination with the group, although later she was inspired by “the great Anglo popstars.”

For her part, Aldhara has defended that young women come “strong” and “with many stigmas and broken molds.” It has also opted to defend each woman’s ideas and for more and more women to access positions of more power in the music industry..
