Royal House expert on Harry and Meghan’s visit to Jordan

They may have stepped down as royals six years ago, but the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s visit to Jordan last week had all the makings of a royal tour. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle visited a local hospital, youth centers, the offices of the World Central Kitchen, which also provides food and additional humanitarian aid to Gaza, and more. But now, as the “Daily Mirror” reports today (Tuesday), the author and expert on royal affairs Ingrid Seward claims that the two had a “hidden motive”.

The couple’s visit to Jordan – a favorite vacation destination for years for Middleton, who spent part of her childhood there, may, according to her, eventually pave the way for reconciliation between Meghan, Harry and his estranged family. But according to her, he was hiding more than meets the eye, while sending a not-so-subtle message to Harry’s family. Specifically for his brother William and his wife Kate Middleton, against the background of the storm that is happening around the royal house with the shameful arrest of the former prince Andrew.

“It seems that their trip to the Middle East is partly political and partly a message. Dressed in black, the duchess was pictured next to packages of food, listening intently as she was told about the shortage of trucks to transport essential supplies to Gaza. In another document, she was seen in tears during a visit to a hospital, where she heard about the procedures the 14-year-old from Gaza was forced to undergo, some without anesthesia.

Now, the expert claims that “it is very possible that there will be a royal, personal truce, and a reunion in that sense. But a professional royal truce – in the sense of the Sussex couple returning to work as royalty, is very unlikely, despite the other difficulties in the family.” According to her, “Both Meghan and Harry like to do things their own way, and that can always be a problem for his brother. William likes to be in control of everything, as we understand, and so does Kate to a certain extent – but Meghan is not the ideal person for such a dynamic.”

Along with the desire for a peaceful home, the royal affairs expert also believes that the couple from Sussex, who controversially retired from the royal house in 2020, before moving to California with their two children, 6-year-old Archie and 4-year-old Lilybeth, will not be ready to give up their lives in exile. “Would Harry want to go back and leave his very comfortable life in California?
