Spotify Camp Nou obtains the license to expand the capacity to 62,000 spectators

This Tuesday, FC Barcelona received the first occupancy license for phase 1C of the remodeling of the Spotify Camp Nou by the Barcelona City Council, which allows the capacity to be expanded to 62,000 spectators, sources from the council explain to Europa Press.

In this way, the Barça club will be able to open the Gol Norte to the public and gain 14,000 seats, which are added to the 45,000 it currently has available, and which it will be able to debut in the next home match against Sevilla FC.

After completing phase 1 of the stadium, the next step for FC Barcelona will be to obtain the license for phase 2, still under construction, corresponding to the third stand and which would complete the stadium’s capacity of almost 105,000 spectators.
