“I watched all the previous seasons of the series again. I watched them to understand a little of the humor of the series. The characters in the series are considered crazy, but they are not crazy. I think they are believable, there is nothing crazy about it.”

Tereszkiewicz thought he must be able to be the same. According to him, in France, acting is usually quite restrained and restrained, but The White Lotuksen the test shooting scenes were not written that way.

“I realized that the scenes have to be done in the American way but in French. You have to be very expressive. It was interesting to try to act really differently than usual but at the same time be yourself,” describes Tereszkiewicz.

“I gave it my all. I tried to be funny and gave it really badly, because there is so much acting involved. In France, you can do the same scenes very restrained.”

According to Tereszkiewicz, the worst part of the auditions for the final stage was waiting for your turn. The actors had only 15 minutes to convince the creator of the series Mike White and other producers.

“I couldn’t concentrate because I was so scared. I started shaking. But they were so nice, and Mike is amazing.”

In test shootings however, it was fun because there was so much humor in the scenes that were played out.

“It’s nice to act like that, because I’ve made so many sad films, terribly difficult films. Now I could do something funny for once.”

In the test shoot, all the scenes were pulled through with the opposite actor and “really acted.”

“It helped a lot, because then if someone just reads you the lines, it’s terrible to try to act.”
