The future electric Alpine will be produced in Dieppe, a boon for the brand’s historic site in Seine-Maritime

It was the almost 400 employees of the Jean-Rédélé factory and the elected officials of Dieppe (Seine-Maritime) who had the first information: the future electric Alpine will be built on the historic lands of the brand.

“The future generation of the Alpine A110 will be developed and produced at the Alpine Dieppe Jean Rédélé Manufacture, the historic cradle of Alpine and production site of the current Alpine A110 since the rebirth of the brand in 2017,” explained management in a press release formalizing what local economic and political stakeholders had been waiting for for many weeks.

A guarantee for the future of the factory

This news thus guarantees a future for the factory where the thermal model of the A110 and the A390, the in-house electric crossover, are currently produced. A few days before the municipal elections, the mayor of the town, Nicolas Langlois (PCF), was not asking for so much. He was also one of the first to rejoice at this announcement on his Facebook page.

“The general management of the Renault group communicated to us, to Sébastien Jumel (Editor’s note: the president of the agglomeration) and myself, this good news just after the announcement made to the employee representatives in the Social and Economic Committee, comments the elected official. Here we are witnessing the fruits of the unique know-how of employees, their commitment and constant, tenacious, determined support from Dieppe and the Dieppe-Maritime Agglomeration, recognized as such by the Renault group.”

An iconic model, high expectations

For one of the flagships of the French automobile industry, which for the first time in its history exceeded the mark of 10,000 annual registrations in 2025 with 10,970 vehicles sold, expectations are high for this transition to electric power for its emblematic model, a delicate step in the world of high-end motorization enthusiasts.

“Our ambition is to become the benchmark French brand for sports cars in the world, by offering the best cars of the electric era. To achieve this, we will continually adopt new technologies by combining them with Alpine’s DNA,” explained Philippe Krief, the brand’s CEO.

By relying on the new Alpine Performance Platform, a concentrate of new technologies implemented within the Renault Group, the big boss quite simply plans to “surpass the best current thermal sports cars”. It remains to be known the operational schedule for future production which has not yet been revealed.
