Turin, the audiobook club with live meetings is born

The collaboration between Audible and the Circolo dei Readers Foundation is consolidated with the birth of Il club degli audiolibri, an initiative that brings the audio dimension of narration to the historic rooms of Turin. Starting from April, the project offers an immersive experience that alternates critical debate with moments of guided listening, with the aim of enhancing vocal interpretation as a tool for rediscovering texts. The initiative aims to offer new interpretations of already consolidated works and recent successes, making literature accessible through the new nuances given by the voices of professional narrators.

The program is divided into three thematic events that range between different genres of contemporary fiction. The opening is set for April 8 with a focus on thrillers, centered on the editorial case Io uccido by Giorgio Faletti; the meeting, curated by Stefania Soma, will analyze how reading Diego Ribon has restored vigor to the nocturnal tensions of the novel. The journey will continue on 21 April with Francesca Marson, who will explore the family fractures described by Roberta Recchia in I Loved You So Well, while on 29 April the cycle will end with the dystopian atmospheres of L’Unità by Ninni Holmqvist, in a discussion led by Viaggiare coi Libri on the social visions of the future.

The initiative also strengthens the role of the Listening Corner, the permanent space located within the Readers’ Club. Here there are workstations with unlimited access to the catalog of the Amazon company, which allow users to delve into thousands of audiobooks, podcasts and original audio series. The integration between traditional reading and digital listening presents itself as an opportunity to diversify the approach to cultural content, encouraging the discovery of new authors and the use of titles belonging to every era in a context of public sharing.
