Hisense brings its new RGB MiniLED technology for the first time to Spain

Hisense has presented for the first time in Spain its new RGB MiniLED technologycharacterized by introducing the colors red, green and blue (RGB) directly on televisions in independent LEDs that replace traditional white light LEDs.

The company already showed a glimpse of this technology in the presentation of its 116-inch television with MiniLED RGB chromatic backlighting at the IFA 2025 technology fair in Berlin (Germany).

However, Hisense has officially presented this innovative technology in Spain, with which it intends to increase image quality on consumer televisionsin addition to ensuring the visual health of consumers.

RGB MiniLed technology changes the way the LEDs that are hidden behind the television screen work. Traditional LEDs emit white light that is subsequently filtered to produce other colors, which implies “energy losses and lower chromatic purity,” as the company has indicated.

Faced with this, RGB MiniLed technology integrates RGB colors on tiny LEDs to generate colors directly without the need for any filtersince only the necessary LEDs are activated.

In this way you get a Greater color purity, more brightness and contrasts, and an increase in energy efficiency. “The message is clear: it is not about more brightness, but about better light,” highlighted the vice president of Hisense Iberia, José-Benigno Fernández López, in the presentation to the press held this Thursday in Madrid.

RGB MiniLed technology provides 15 percent more luminosity, improves brightness in RGB colors by 90 percent, increases the useful life of televisions by 66 percent in humid conditions and reduces consumption for RGB colors by 40 percent.

Regarding the improvements in visual healthRGB MiniLed technology reduces the impact of blue light on screens by up to 42 percentat levels that are not harmful to eyesight. Furthermore, Dr. Luis Arrevola, an ophthalmologist at the Baviera Clinic in Madrid, has also highlighted the benefits of large screens at a safe distance: “I recommend that my patients buy large screens so that they do not have to make any greater effort.”

Regarding the future of Hisense, the In-Store & Training Manager, Florin Ristea, has indicated that it involves improving RGB MiniLed EVOwhere a fourth color will be incorporated, which could arrive next year.

MODELS WITH RGB MINILED

Hisense has announced that this new RGB MiniLed technology It is now available on televisions with large formats, 100 and 116 inchesand that will extend to 60 and 65 inch televisions starting next April.

Specifically, RGB MiniLed is already integrated into the UXQ, UR9S and UR85 series televisions. The range UXQcomposed of the 116UXQ and 100UXQ models, is the first to offer this technology. It has a Hi-View AI Engine X processor, 165 Hz frequency, and MEMC technology for fluid movement in sports and video games.

Regarding the UR9S serieswith 65, 75 and 85-inch televisions, is powered by a Hi-View AI Engine RGB processor, more focused on performance in bright environments. It also has a Matte anti-reflective panel, a native 180 Hz refresh rate and support for Dolby Vision IQ, HDR10+ Adaptive and IMAX Enhanced.

Lastly, the gamma UR8S, Available starting in July in sizes of 55, 65, 75, 85 and 100 inches, it is also powered by a Hi-View AI Engine RGB processor, to which the AI ​​4K Upscaler is added to increase sharpness. With a brightness of up to 3,800 nits, Matte screen and anti-glare technology and Calman and Pantone certification, the UR8S series televisions also integrate 180Hz Game Mode Ultra, AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, Game Bar and compatibility with Dolby Gaming.
