War of the Worlds was chosen as the worst film of the year

War of the Worlds (The War of the Worlds) was chosen as last year’s worst film at the Golden Raspberry Awards parody gala on Saturday in Los Angeles, USA.

H. G. Wellsin the film based on the classic novel won five Razzies at the awards gala. The film won worst film of the year, worst director (Rich Lee), worst male lead (rap artist Ice Cube), Worst Screenplay and Worst Prequel, Remake or Sequel categories.

War of the Worlds was released on Amazon’s Prime streaming service last year. The film received rave reviews from critics. Only four percent of reviewers gave Rotten Tomatoes -film website gave the work a positive review.

The worlds in addition to the war, the Disney film also received nominations Snow White (Snow White). The film’s seven computer-animated dwarves collectively won both the Worst Supporting Actor and Worst Ensemble awards.

The Comeback of the Year award, i.e. the award for an actor who previously won a Razzie but has since faded, was won by Kate Hudson. He received a lot of genuine praise and an Oscar nomination last year Song Sung Blue from the movie.

There were other winning films Bride Hard and Gunslingers.

Razzie Awards has been distributed since 1981. The awards are traditionally handed out just before the Oscars, which this year is held the night before Monday.

The award gala caused a stir in 2023, when it nominated a then 12-year-old in the worst actress category Ryan Kiera Armstrongin. At the time, Razzie’s activities were described as bullying and nauseating. The child actor’s nomination was canceled before the gala.
