Ali Larijani accuses the Muslim countries of abandoning Iran in the war

In a message addressed to Muslims around the world and to governments in Islamic countries, Larijani harshly attacked the Arab countries’ response to the American-Israeli attacks that began at the end of February. He expressed deep regret that “no Islamic government has sided with the Iranian people, with the exception of rare cases that amounted to only limited political positions.”

To intensify the poignant message, Larijani wondered: “Doesn’t the position of some of the Islamic governments contradict the words of the Prophet of Islam who said that ‘He who hears a call for help from a Muslim and does not respond – is not a Muslim’? So what kind of Islam is this?”.

Concluding his remarks, Larijani called for Muslim unity and warned that the future of the Middle East depends on it. “You know that America is not loyal and that Israel is your enemy. Stop for a moment and think about the future of the region. Iran demands your good and does not seek control over you,” he claimed. He concluded by emphasizing that Iran will continue on the path of resistance against what he called the “big devil” and the “little devil”, referring to the United States and Israel.
